Open Day at the Home of Fredrik and Anna Drake

Visit a charming home museum in the heart of Neristan! Built in 1835, the house was home to the Drake artisan family for four generations. The interior features items dating from the late 18th century to the late 20th century, including art, handicrafts, and a library of over 3,000 books. A guide will be present at the event to tell visitors about the history of the family and the house in Finnish, Swedish and English.

The music of early Baroque Dutch composer Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck brings together the artist brothers, visual artist Kuutti Lavonen and guitar artist Rody van Gemert. At the matinée, Lavonen will talk about his art, and van Gemert will perform on a 19th-century classical guitar.

Kuutti Lavonen’s exhibition Rosea – Unique Works and Prints is on display at Roos House from 24 April to 4 October 2026. The matinée will take place in the exhibition space, surrounded by Lavonen’s works. Admission to the event is free. At other times, admission to Roos House is 8/5 €.
