KUUTTI LAVONEN
Rosea – Unique Works and Prints

24 April – 4 October 2026
Roos House, Pitkänsillankatu 39

The summer season at the K.H.Renlund Museum opens with an exhibition by Kuutti Lavonen, one of Finland’s most beloved contemporary artists. For the first time, the museum presents a larger body of the artist’s work. The exhibition features new works created specifically for the show, as well as rarely exhibited pieces on loan from museum collections and private collections.

Drawing inspiration from the richness and refinement of French and Italian art traditions, Lavonen explores the contemporary world and human relationships in his works. The exhibition brings together paintings, drawings, and graphic works from different stages of the acclaimed contemporary artist’s career.

PAULA PÄÄKKÖNEN
Candy Day

8 May–6 September 2026
Exhibition Hall Pitkänsillankatu 28

The summer at the Exhibition Hall is filled with the sweet glass sculptures of Paula Pääkkönen. The works in the exhibition sparkle and glow with vibrant colours, creating an irresistibly tempting atmosphere. Beneath their joyful surface, however, the exhibition also offers a commentary on the darker side of contemporary culture. The abundance and visual richness of the works reflect overconsumption and excess – phenomena that have become part of our everyday lives.
