Voluntary ski trail fee in Santahaka for the 2025-2026 season

The City will continue to collect the voluntary ski trail fee in Santahaka. The fee is part of the City’s financial program, and it helps fund, among other things, the early-season ski trail.

Voluntary ski trail fee 5 € per visit or 25 € per season.

  • Skiers under the age of 18 may continue to ski free of charge.

You can pay the voluntary trail fee in the following ways:

  • In the City’s online shop
  • Mobilepay: search for Kokkolan latumaksut
  • E-passi: search for Kokkolan latumaksut
  • At the Sports Hall (Urheilutalo) customer service desk: cash, card and sports/benefit vouchers (Smartum, Edenred) during opening hours.
  • Bank transfer to the City’s account: IBAN: FI78 8000 1500 6808 31. Message / reference: Latumaksu 25-26

The early-season ski trail in Santahaka is made using stored artificial snow. Its length varies each year, typically between 0.5 km and 1 km. Producing, storing and spreading the artificial snow costs approximately €35,000 per year. The use of stored snow ensures skiing opportunities even during winters with little natural snow and in variable weather conditions.

To ensure that we can continue storing snow and maintaining the early-season ski trail in the coming years, we kindly encourage as many skiers as possible to pay the voluntary trail fee. The fee is voluntary and will not be monitored. We will provide regular updates on how many skiers have paid the fee.

Thank you in advance!
