Urgent need for a place in early childhood education and care (ECEC)
- First, complete the electronic application for ECEC. Explain why you urgently need a place in ECEC in the “Additional information” section of the application.
- After submitting your application, please contact a service manager or the ECEC office.

When is an ECEC application processed as urgent?
- If you suddenly receive a job offer or are accepted into studies and you could not have anticipated this in advance.
How quickly and where can your child get an ECEC place?
- A place in early childhood education and care can be arranged no earlier than two weeks after your application has been received.
- An ECEC place will be offered at a daycare centre that has available places.
