Explore the nature trail at your own pace or join a guided tour with accessibility coordinator Alexandra, who runs the social media account Retkeile lakeuksilla!
At the birdwatching tower, you can watch birds with bird experts. Try the birds’ stretching exercises and look for hidden animal figures. There will also be a prize draw and sensory activities. During the event, you can try out the Hippocampe all-terrain wheelchair. Light refreshments will be available, and Villa Elba’s café will be open. You are also welcome to bring your own packed lunch and enjoy it at the resting areas along the trail. The trails are easy to use with a stroller.

- The width of Villa Elba’s boardwalk trail is 120 cm wide.
- In some places, the lateral slope may exceed 3%.
- The boardwalk trail leading to Rummelö birdwatching tower is 109 cm wide. The gaps between the boards are less than 0.5 cm.
- The first level of the Rummelö birdwatching tower is accessible via a demanding accessible route. The gradient leading to the tower is less than 8 degrees.
- The trails have edge boards.
- The edges of the trails are marked with contrast lines.
- From the Rummelö birdwatching tower, a narrower boardwalk trail and a 120 cm wide sand trail lead to Harrbåda. The sand trail has uneven sections and areas with softer sand.
- Information on the signs is available in audio format via QR codes using a mobile device.
- The main information sign is available as audio in nine languages: Finnish, Swedish, English, Arabic, Persian, German, Swahili, Ukrainian and Russian.
The opening event is part of the project Promoting Physically Active Nature Tourism through the Development of Accessibility, Service Design and Cooperation Structures. The project is funded by the Finland in Motion programme, which aims to increase physical activity across all age groups.
