Water supply from the new water treatment plant in Patamäki is set to begin

The biological process for removing iron and manganese at the new water treatment plant has been completed, and the drinking water meets the established quality requirements. Water supply from the new water treatment plant in Patamäki is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 10 June. The new water treatment plant will ensure high-quality drinking water for the residents of Kokkola for at least the next 50 years.

Some temporary changes in water quality may occur during the transition phase. This may appear, for example, as changes in the color or taste of the water. These temporary changes are caused by fluctuations in water flow and pressure due to the opening and closing of valves.

If you notice changes in water quality, run cold water from the tap until the quality improves. If the water does not return to normal within a reasonable amount of time, please contact the customer service at Kokkolan Vesi or give feedback via the feedback service.
