Collaboration is the foundation of all Kieppi’s activities. We co-operate with, for example, the Geological Survey of Finland, the Finnish Museum of Natural History and local operators, experts and enthusiasts. The local artists bring an important dimension to the delicate nature experience.
The Owls of The Fable Forest

As a wildlife photographer, I try to capture the atmosphere, the sensations and the air of mystery that old spruce forests hold. I try to move freely among the wildlife as I capture their life and habitat, staying true to my photography style. Usually, I try to get to know the subjects in advance, as individuals, and get the shot once I’ve established the trust of and a strong connection with the subject.
The exhibition The Owls of The Fable Forest is a journey into the life of owls, found in the Kokkola region, during different seasons. Owls delight and amaze us. They rule in the dark. Every night is a new challenge where adventure awaits. The exhibition focuses on the nesting of Boreal Owl, but also introduces us with Great Grey Owl, Ural Owl, Eurasian Pygmy Owl, Eurasian Eagle-owl, Short-eared Owl, and a wandering Northern Hawk-owl.
