Physical activity and lifestyle counselling

Free physical activity and lifestyle counselling is available for Kokkola residents of all ages who exercise less than recommended for their health, have not yet found a suitable form of exercise, or need advice on physical activity or nutrition.

Together we will discuss your current activity and lifestyle habits, go through the exercise options available in Kokkola, and talk about healthy eating, meal rhythms, and sleep. Physical activity and lifestyle counselling can also be arranged for groups and associations on request.

The counselling is available in Finnish and in English and provided in cooperation between the sports services and health services.

You may receive a Kaikukortti card if you use Soite services (social and health care services) that are part of the Kaikukortti card network, if your financial situation is so tight that you cannot afford cultural or sports hobbies, and if you are at least 16 years old. More information about the Kaikukortti card  (in Finnish and Swedish).

If you have a Kaikukortti card and wish to join an exercise group, please contact a sports instructor.

  • If you need professional support and guidance to begin exercising, you can contact a physical activity counsellor. The counsellor will help you find a form of physical activity that suits your needs and fits into your everyday life.
