City hall customer service desk
The customer service desk at the City hall is open with limited opening hours from July 7 to August 4, 2025. The customer service desk is closed between July 14 and July 28. You can reach the customer service desk on weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm by telephone (040 8065 001, 040806 5020) and e-mail: asiakaspalvelu@kokkola.fi.
The doors of the City Hall are locked between July 7 and August 4, 2025. Limited services are available by calling the customer service desk.
Early Childhood Education and Care services office
Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services office is open with limited opening hours between July 14 and July 27, 2025. The ECEC telephone service is not available during this time.
You can reach us in urgent matters through e-services or by email varhaiskasvatus(at)kokkola.fi.
If you have an urgent need for a place in Early Childhood Education and Care, please contact the director of the ECEC unit or the service manager on duty.

Library bus
The library bus operates according to the summer schedule in June and August. The library bus doesn’t operate on June 19, nor in July.
All libraries are closed during the midsummer from June 20 to June 22.
Self-service libraries
The news room in the main library as well as the Kälviä library and Lohtaja library are open as self-service libraries on weekdays from 8 am to 9 pm and on weekends and public holidays from 8 am to 6 pm. Koivuhaka library is open as a self-service library on weekdays from 8 am to 8 pm and on weekends and public holidays from 8 am to 3 pm.
To use the self-service library, the customer needs a library card and the pin code associated with it. In addition, the customer must sign a user license application at the library.
