Kokkola City Theatre (Professional theatre)
Performances on two stages from August to the end of May! In autumn 2018: Koukussa, Ray Cooney’s action-packed farce; Sydämeen Jäi Soimaan, a heart-warming play about Carola, one of Finland’s favourite singers; and Veren Maku, dark but humorous story of the relationship between man and meat. In addition, a number of guest performances. In the spring of 2019, Neljäntienristeys, an award-winning drama, and Supermarsu, a play for the whole family.

Kokkola Winter Accordion
The festival takes place on 10-17 February 2019. Finnish music treasures, premières, dance performances, sing-alongs and outdoor events. Music ambassadors from Finland and abroad. The versatility of the instrument is showcased by changing genres from classical and modern music to folk and easy listening. Guardia Nueva, entertainment and tango orchestra, is like a harebell in December. Tender yet strong, blue, Finnish and genuine, sensitive and surprising. Keski-Pohjanmaan Konservatorio
Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory is one of the largest institutes in Finland providing basic instruction in music and dance. Further, the institute accommodates vocational training in music, preparing the students for further studies or work in the field of music. The range of music styles at the institute is wide, from classical music to folk and pop/jazz and also music writing.
